Front patch panels for behind the wheels are available from Sherman, among others. The Sherman patch panels aren't a very good fit. When my resto was done a couple of years ago the body man wouldn't use them due to the poor fit. He made his own. There are no patch panels available for the rear quarters. You have to buy the whole rear quarter skin and cut off what you want or make your own panels. Again, when my resto was done the body man made his own patch panels for behind the rear wheels. He said that it was more cost effective than buying the whole quarter skin and cutting it up.

I bought a coupla rust-free front fender bottoms at a swap meet that were cannibalized from bent up fenders at a boneyard. They included the inner brace and were about a foot tall. Cheap if you can find them.

Ditto on the aftermarket "patch panels". Easier to make the pieces you need than use the thinner steel that doesn't fit very well.

thats what i'm figuring for the fronts. the rears is what i'm more concerned about..this car is an original california car&not a rust bucket, just a few inches on each rear wheel well are soft. its the bottom rear piece to the bumper that i need for both sides

That's a pretty easy pice to fab as long as you stay under the feature line. If you want original metal there, 4 door cars are easier to find and more survived. It's the same behind the rear wheels as a 2 door. Should be able to have a pair cut off a rust free car in the Southwest (or Atlanta/Birmingham etc.) reasonably.
